Throughout the past 8 months, we have had to balance the risk of the virus with the impact of social isolation and loneliness.
It has been a very difficult time for many and there has been reduced social contact with the restrictions in place.
A British Red Cross report found that sadly 32% of UK adults worry something will happen to them and no one will notice.
We must do more collectively to support people, but I believe it is incumbent on the Scottish Government to ensure that people have the right resources to tackle social isolation.
We have seen digital inclusion become a key factor and the Scottish Government must spend the £1 million which was announced through the Connected Scotland programme.
