Borders Rail has once again missed performance targets.
Latest statistics from ScotRail reveal 88.6% (ppm) of trains arrived on time between 7th January and 3rd February.
The Moving Annual Average PPM was 91.7%.
Furthermore, only two carriages were put on for the International Rugby match between Scotland and France. This is despite numerous calls for more carriages to be added during such events by local MSP, Rachael Hamilton.
Rachael Hamilton MSP said: "The expectations of Scottish Rugby and the Borders Rail are high. However, on this occasion only the rugby team delivered the goods and performance we need.
"Borders Rail is a huge asset to the Borders and we need to make sure it runs on time and has enough carriages to match demand.
"I will once again write to the SNP Transport Minister to make sure that Borders Rail gets the attention it deserves to help meet its performance targets and has enough carriages to meet demand."
