Local politicians have praised Hawick-based textile manufacturer, Hawico, for expanding its international growth following a visit to the group's textile mill.
Hawico, founded in 1874, is renowned internationally for producing luxury Scottish cashmere.
Borders MP John Lamont said: “It was great to catch up with Ewan Thomson and the team at Hawico and see first-hand the fantastic work they continue to do.
“Hawico is a brilliant local success story with a rich history and a track record of international growth. Their world-class knitwear is exported around the globe.
"It's inspiring to see a local business achieve such success and I hope other enterprises will look to do the same.
"I will continue to do what I can to help local businesses by pushing the UK Labour government to stop increasing their costs. The recent National Insurance rise has been particularly damaging and must be reversed."
Borders MSP Rachael Hamilton said:
"Hawico is a fantastic example of Borders manufacturing at its very best.
"There are so many exciting, innovative businesses across the Borders doing great things and Hawico is a perfect example of what's possible.
"From seeing the effort that goes into producing their luxury cashmere products, it's no wonder they are in such demand.
"It was great to meet the team and hear about their plans to keep growing the business and providing highly-skilled local jobs."
