ISD Scotland statistics have revealed that NHS Borders have not met the 95% target of A&E patients admitted, discharged or transferred within four hours of arrival this year.
The latest statistics show that in the week ending 22nd April only 91.3% seen within 4 hours.
This is an improvement on the week before that only saw 87.2% seen within that time.
However, the latest statistics still reveal that in each week NHS Borders has failed to meet the 95% target.
Rachael Hamilton MSP said: ‘Now into spring and the winter crisis has still not left us. Perhaps this indicates that there are other factors than the weather that cause pressures.
‘The NHS is under huge pressure due to SNP mismanagement. The NHS Borders has experienced extreme pressure each and every week of this year. The SNP Government must do more to assist our local NHS.’
