Rachael Hamilton has thanked voters, supporters and campaign activists across the Scottish Borders after being re-elected as Borders MSP.

Following the result, Rachael paid tribute to the hard work of local campaign teams and thanked residents for placing their trust in her once again.

Scottish Borders MSP, Rachael Hamilton, said:

“I am incredibly grateful to everyone across the Borders who has put their trust in me once again to represent our communities in Parliament.

"Thank you for voting for me and I will never take your support for granted.

“This result would not have been possible without the dedication and hard work of so many supporters and volunteers who gave up their time during the campaign. Thank you to every single person who knocked on doors and delivered leaflets across the constituency.

“It has been a privilege to meet so many people throughout this campaign and hear directly about the issues that matter most to them and their families.

"As your MSP, I will be fully focused on the key challenges and everyday problems that affect people in the Borders.

"All of my effort and attention will be fixated on bringing down bills on workers and families, increasing support for businesses, reducing NHS waiting lists, delivering more GP appointments, fixing the roads, extending railway routes, and protecting struggling rural services."
