‘Sobering’ amount of plastic in our seas

On Friday the 11th May, locals took part in a beach clean-up on Eyemouth Beach as part of the Daily Mail’s Great Plastic Pick Up initiative. The event which took place across the UK in 1,100 locations included local events at Pease Bay, Coldingham Bay and Eyemouth Beach.

Local MSP Supporting Women’s March

Local MSP, Rachael Hamilton, has thrown her support behind PROCESSIONS, an event which will celebrate the centenary of women’s suffrage. It will see thousands of women and girls from across the UK walking together as part of a mass participatory artwork on Sunday 10th June.

In the debate Mrs Hamilton raised concern about the poor conditions of Scotland’s roads that have worsened even further after the Beast From the East.

Livestock Worrying Concern for Local Farmers

Local politicians, Rachael Hamilton MSP and Cllr Scott Hamilton met with local farmers, John and Ann Lamb to discuss livestock worrying concerns.

Mr and Mrs Lamb were recent victims of a rogue dog that attacked their pregnant sheep and left them heavily injured.
