Local MSP, Rachael Hamilton, visited In2venture to congratulate them on their successful National Lottery funding for a new archery facility at the Craikhope facility and learn more about what the charity does.
At the Craikhope facility, just outside Hawick, In2venture aim to promote the mental, physical and spiritual development of the young persons
In2venture works with schools (both local and further afield), church and youth groups.
In March In2venture received £9,150 from the National Lottery Fund to go towards a new archery field.
Other activities at the centre include:
- Mountain Walking
- Canoeing /Kayaking
- Caving & Mine Exploration
- Expeditions (by canoe or on foot; from one night to multiple nights)
- Rock Climbing & Abseiling
- Gill Scrambling & Gorge Walking
- Bushcraft
- Team Development Games
- Mountain Biking
- Fencing

Kevin Marsh, Trustee, In2venture said: ‘It is great to have the support of Rachael in our venture at Craikhope along with John Lamont MP.
‘It’s been a quick 12 months since we took on the lease and spent the first 11 months of this renovating and refurbishing the centre. It was exciting to open the centre again for the first booking over the Easter Weekend and see the place buzzing again with kids.
‘We are excited about the ongoing developments with the construction of the Archery field and Shelter underway, which we hope to be complete within the next 5-6 weeks.’
