Lilliesleaf Primary tour Scottish Parliament and meet local MSP

Pupils from Lilliesleaf Primary School were welcomed to the Scottish Parliament by Borders MSP, Rachael Hamilton as part of a school trip to Edinburgh.

Students from the school have been studying the topic of Democracy as well as learning about how the UK and Scottish parliaments work.

Borders dog walkers urged to take care during lambing season

Local MSP Rachael Hamilton is urging dog owners to take extra care whilst enjoying walks in the countryside with their dogs during the spring lambing season.

Her plea comes after a suspected dog attack left 14 sheep dead on a farm near Jedburgh at the beginning of March.
